Join Shaohannah's Hope this summer as we pack our bags and travel half way around the world to China. From June 22nd to July 6th, the Show Hope campaign is inviting young adults (ages 15-25) from around the nation to join us in showing hope as we visit and care for Chinese orphans with special needs.
We will spend half of our time at an orphan home northeast of Beijing, volunteering and building relationships with the forgotten and abandoned children of China. While in Beijing, we will also enjoy touring monumental sights such as the Great Wall, the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square.
The remainder of the trip will be spent in Luoyang, China, in the Henan province, at the site of the Shaohannah's Hope Healing Home, which is under construction. We will spend our time cleaning up the site and preparing the home to care for the children. It is expected that the Shaohannah's Hope Healing Home will have the ability to care for 124 special needs orphans at full capacity.
The cost of the trip will be approximately $2,500 to $2,700, and you can use the helpful information on this page to raise support. Applications must be submitted and received by Shaohannah's Hope by April 19th, and a $300 non-refundable deposit is also required for your application to be processed. Further payment schedule will be provided. All trip details are tentative and subject to change.
James 1:27 states that to be people of pure and faultless religion, we are to visit and care for the orphans. Will you join us this summer in adventuring half way around the world, yet closer to the heart of God, as we love orphans and show them the hope we have in Christ?
