Founders, Tim and Laura Zorc
Tim and Laura Zorc are the founders of Christian Family Builders, established Dec of 07. Tim and Laura reside in Vero Beach Florida with their three four children, Breanna 18, Nicholas 6, Abby 5, and Chandler born November of 2008. Tim is a rare borne native of Vero Beach, Indian River County. The Zorc family are well established home builders, for three generation, in Indian River County, so it was only appropriate to name this organization Christian Family Builders. The Zorc's are proud to announce, not only do they build homes, but they are also helping build families.
Being that Christian Family Builders is strictly a non-profit organization and voluntary base only, when not advocating and assisting families with adoption, foster, and orphan care, Tim and Laura are actively involved in their professional careers.
Since the decline in the building market, Tim has been hard at work, developing a new company www.cdisnow.com to help builders connect with the property owners and consumers affected by Chinese Drywall. In addition, Laura is a Realtor in Vero Beach at www.NorrisandCompany.com. As a Realtor she has the flexibly to participate as the Executive Director of Christian Family Builders.
In the past few years Laura has been able to work with National and State Leaders in advocating involvement between the State and Local Churches. Typically this is an area not to mingle, but when finding quality and loving families, the state is now recognizing it needs the Christian Families.
Furthermore, the couple started this ministry due to a huge gap between the Christian families wanting or considering adoption, but needing linked to the safe and reputable places for the information. What was memorizing to the Zorc's, there are thousands of children needing homes, and thousands of families wanting to bring a child into their home, but there was that missing link in knowing where to go and knowing how to even take the first step.
Tim and Laura searched and sought many different avenues for two years, trying to figure it out on their own. They found, One place wants $60,000 for a new born, the other place wants $12,000, so what are the differences in these agencies? Non profit verses top heavy non profit? Christian Non-profit verses claiming to be Christian non-profit? Through their own frustration they have set out with the goal to bring valuable information to the Christian Families seeking adoption across the state of Florida. They want to expose the agencies that are only in it for the profit, and connect families with the ones that are truly in it for the children. They might not have all the answers but it is their desire to help families find the resources who can answer their questions.

Christian Family Builders is also excited about the partnership that we are receiving from Governor Charlie Crist's office. Our Governor has put into place, Florida's first Chief Child Advocate, Jim Kallinger, whom will also be in attendance. When Christian Family Builders shared the vision, engaging the Christian community in caring for the children with Mr. Jim Kallinger, he was in full support of this mission. In recent days we have discovered that the Governor and his staff are searching for ways to build a bridge between the Christian Families to the children in Foster Care. The Governor's office is looking to Christian Families to unite with them on finding homes for the children in the Foster Care system "waiting" to be adopted. Currently there are 1700 children on the Treasure Coast in Foster Care, and there are at all times 80 to 90 of these children "waiting" to find a family, right here on the Treasure Coast in our own community.
Christian Family Builders is an Adoption and Orphan Care Resource Center, headquartered in Vero Beach Florida. From conceptual to reality, we have been working with Focus on the Family. We have been blessed with their guidance, wisdom, and resources for putting this conference and ministry in motion. They have played an instrumental role in assisting with the launch of this state wide ministry aimed at caring for the children. On April 5th, we are privileged to have well known founders and directors of International, National, and Local Organizations, who are leaders in, caring for the little ones in their distress (James 1:27). They will be flying in from all around the globe with the same desire; to educate and engage EVERYONE in the designated area God calls them to serve. Registration is open to ALL Christians willing to listen to the call of God. So, whether you are a church leader, family seeking adoption information, "snow bird", empty nester, or teenager, there is a place for YOU to serve. We will be focusing on (International, Domestic, Foster Care) adoption, (orphan) missions, adopting an orphanage, and how to start an orphan adoption ministry in your own church. As you can see, our vision is to be enlightening on all topics relating to how to Care for the Orphans.
